Hedgehog In The Fog - Ёжик в тумане

A great way to start today's morning was by watching this almost long forgotten cartoon from my childhood.

It's genius in the way it provokes reflection and I'd say is also a little psychedelic. A cartoon for kids? I will leave it to you to judge this, but it used to be frequently aired for kids for almost 20 years after its creation. I think as an adult I can appreciate it much more - as a kid I was even a little scared while watching it. And now it creates this amazingly warm and cosy feeling of everything being just fine and tunes you for some tea with raspberry jam (from samovar) and counting stars...

And now, after reading a bit about it, I've found out it translated into English and even more so that it is considered one of the best animated films of all time. Have a look, tell me what you think.

Ready :)

So I think I'm now ready to tell you about my summer adventures and share some photos. Here comes a little preview..

I Miss The Stars...

It's almost time for me for another trip (next week), which I start really looking forward to... it's home this time! (and by 'home' I mean the place where I was born and lived until I turned 17) I'm excited!

Does it often happen to you that you grow a bit tired of the place where you live and need to go somewhere for a change to get new impressions and learn something new? As for me, I do need to do that very often. If I didn't - I would grow very restless...

I like the complete change of surroundings (no matter if it's for work or fun), the change of the country, the culture, the language - the experience is always very enriching and worth the trouble of being 'on the road'. The further I go - the better, and travel definitely makes us more open-minded. I try to travel as often as every 1,5 - 2 months (some say it's too much, but not for me) and I was lucky I was able to do that both in '08 and '09. I keep hoping for the same in 2010, I need to put this on my wish-list for Santa :)

Stay Warm!
