I love weekends (and who doesn't?:D)... While it is still not warm enough outside to stay out long - it is a great chance to catch up with friends, go out and enjoy good coffee in some place nice or just stay at home and do whatever it feels like. We spent the evening going through recent photos at Indygo Cafe ('indygo' is Polish for 'indigo'), which apart from offering good coffee and tea prepared according to their special recipe, charms you with its 'indigo interior'. I really like how deep and complex the color is and how it interacts with lights and shadows, giving a feeling of cosiness and pleasure.

Hi, Olga, what an amazing cafe. It's good to hear a bit about your home country, as well as your travels! In answer to how I find much time: it's a bit complicated! I don't normally spend as much time in front of the computer as I did last week - because we were all home ill I probably spent most of my 'working' hours on it instead of being at work!
However, I do try to post every day, because it's the best way I can find to communicate with my mum, who is ill in Edinburgh and doesn't find it easy to email any more. I like to send her somthing which my dad can read to her while she looks at our photos, to give her something cheerful each day. She has had brain tumours and, whilst she is as intelligent as ever, she has some problems with communicating. The blog is a great way to get over those, and I also really enjoy meeting so many other delightful people!

What a fabulous looking place to enjoy coffee! There is NOTHING like that around where I live... perhaps something up in Boston, but it would definitely be one-of-a-kind!
I had tried Google for Meilana, too. That name is consistant on all the records, just with different spellings. (Meilana, Meylana, Meilan) It obviously has become part of a different location now. I'm sure with persistance I will figure it out one day (those old partition maps from the early 1900's confuse me)! I was told by my Lithuanian cousin that some of the family moved to Belarus (I'm not sure if they are still there now, however). =)

I love the cafe, the style, it looks real nice. It'd be very interesting if you could show us a bit of your city and the cozy places you know. I'm planning to present Portugal, and specially Lisbon on my blog, after posting my last trips. I have to go out one of this sunny weekends and shoot some photos around the city. Hi Floss, TI - you are right, I think the time has come to post more about the city I live in and surroundings - there are plenty of beautiful places around Gdansk (especially cute little cafes :P) - you will hear more about this soon :)

Hi Olga! Now I see that it's definitely been a while since I left, is Indygo a new spot? You need to take me there after I come back (who knows when). I also see that you've been working hard on your blog, I need some cathing up to do. Since a week or 2 (I'm getting cofunsed) I am on a run - traveling, just got back to London for few hours to get some stuff and now I'm leaving to Hamburg. I promise I'll drop you an e-mail soon :) (love the constructivism as well - will give it some thought after I settle down :))
