Spring Is In Full Swing!

I love spring! It is my favourite season of the year (late spring that is :)) It is great to see the trees in bloom or putting on the colour of fresh leaves and flowers of all colours imaginable around you... - you simply can not take your eyes off!

Although the most beautiful days of spring are already behind us (I guess for many of you it already feels like summer) - here are some pictures of the English gardens we took while our May break in the UK last year.

We went camping near a tiny village called Lyndon (Leicestershire) and the village turned out to be so beautiful in its full spring bloom - we ended up taking walks there every day and I couldn't stop taking pictures.

Lyndon has literally got no more than 4 streets, but everything you see around you - every house and every garden - is just stunning..! We passed by this little ancient church with a cemetery..

And a local pub...

I couldn't be more amazed at how beautifully the English arrange their gardens - it is such a great tradition! I think it is impossible to look at something like this and remain indifferent...

Oh, how nostalgic! Thanks for these lovely pictures. I don't know if you know about the annual contest - Britain in Bloom. Cities, towns and villages compete (in different categories) to be the most beautifully floral settlement.

I am SO glad that the parcel has arrived! Thanks so much for letting me know, and for letting me know your reactions to things. Your pictures are great inspiration for my Garden Party - shame it's getting dry here, as we could never hope to compete with real British gardens down here.

Wow! Your travel pictures and your art works are amazingly beautiful! They bring me memories of my travels as a young girl! As a matter of fact, Italy has been only one of my stop on my way to China 30 years ago. Here I am and China it's still waiting my visit!
Thanks for visiting!

Very nice pictures. I love the colors in spring but my allergies act up.

And thank you for saying my daughter looks like me. When she was born everyone said she looked exactly like my husband and not like me. So I love hearing when people say she looks like me. :)
