23

I think for me the answer lies somewhere around 23... because since then I really never felt the 'birthday fever' and never celebrated them. That's probably the charm of birthdays wearing off or something :).

And what about you? How do you feel about your birthdays?

This bouquet

almost reminded me of those old paintings where the flowers have these amazing pastel colours, peonies are always present, roses have those soft round shapes, hortensias those greenish hues and the incredibly beautiful eustomas complete the whole composition...

Would You Paint Your Room Red?

Several studies have indicated that red carries the strongest reaction of all the colors. Red is hot. It's a strong color that conjures up a range of seemingly conflicting emotions from passionate love to violence and warfare. Red is Cupid and the Devil.

A stimulant, red is the hottest of the warm colors, which can have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure. Red is used as a symbol of guilt, sin and anger, often as connected with blood or sex. It is associated with lust, passion, love, and beauty as well.

So would you paint your room red? :)

The bright greens of trees and the bloomy whites; fresh leaves and grass all around; the sun and the still chilly wind; the warmth - inside and out; smells from childhood; the chemistry; reactions and emotions; the vibes; hormones; bumping hearts; crazy heart beats; blushes; endorphins... the spring is all to blame; it makes me feel like I'm on drugs :)

I Would Watch This Right Now :)

Indie movie of the day!

“Etienne!” is about a moustached boy, Richard, who takes his hamster (Etienne) on a road trip after finding out that the hamster has terminal cancer so that he may live his final days to the fullest. How great is this? :)

Deserve?

We think - and we frequently hear others say - that we deserve something. But the thing is - why do we think we deserve things at all? and compared to who? is the word 'deserve' just a heritage from religion as in the notions of 'heaven' and 'hell'? Or is it a disguised form of presumption?

What do you think?

Is what we deserve in life the same thing as what we expect of our life?
And isn’t it kind of amazing to be alive at all, considering the odds? :)

Growing Up

I almost forgot that it was this blog's birthday this April!

What has started with one strange post 2 years ago has developed into... this.

This wouldn't have happened had I not got to know all of you, who (for some strange reason :) are reading these pages.

It has been great getting to know you and keeping in touch!

Those who never reveal themselves - thanks for visiting too.
