Hi Matteo, I actually use two: a Nikon D60, which takes amazing pics but which I am very lazy to bring with me because it's too big... so I mostly use a little pocket Canon IXUS 860.
Well the instruction manual is in japanese but you can easily find it in english online. The camera itself you just need to set it in english. I spent about 100 euros less that buying the same camera here in Italy!

I bought it when i was in Tokyo.
But as compact camera i have a NIKON Coolpix which right now i'm not too much satisfied with...
Oh, wow - are you using it in Japanese :)? Or have you been able to 'translate' it?
